Dynamic Heavy Lift ‘Beast’ unloaded 50m pipe piles direct from overseas ship liner at the Vancouver Port, BC
Piles were stored on The Beast’s deck and sailed to project site
The Beast installed 18 nos. piles @ 1.524m diameter x 50m x 51 Tonne. Each pile alignment group requires repositioning of the heavy lift carne barge and adjustment of anchor lines. Driving a 50m pile through variable marine soil strata down to the tip was challenging but thanks to Dynamic’s select APE 600 quad vibro (biggest vibro hammer in its class) the job was completed ahead of schedule.
