Port of Seattle - Crane Transportation and Demolishment

The Dynamic Beast mobilized down to the Port of Seattle for the load-out and transportation of two 890MT container cranes.  The dedicated Dynamic crew operated the Dynamic Beast’s specialist anti-heeling system in the Port of Seattle to ensure the load-out of the massive cranes was safe and compliant.  The cranes were positioned on crane rails, which the Dynamic Team had positioned and welded to the deck of the Dynamic Beast prior to mobilization from Vancouver.  Due to the capacity of the Dynamic Beast anti-heeling system and competence of the Dynamic specialist crew, each crane was loaded onto the barge in less than 30 minutes, impressive to say the least!  After the cranes were suitably sea-fastened for the voyage, the barge was towed to Canada where the cranes were dismantled on the deck of the Dynamic Beast and scrapped on a supporting barge.  This involved the demolishment of one crane, followed by the repositioning of the second crane on the deck of the Dynamic Beast using the onboard winches.  Both the Dynamic Beast M1200 ringer crane and supporting 4100 crawler crane were used to support the execution of this project which was completed in a safe and timely manner.  Dynamic worked with a local company to process the scrap material responsibly.
